- Instant Decisions: "I'll answer the phone." - Promises/Threats: "I won't tell anyone." - Prediction (Belief): "I think he will win."

- Plans: Decided before speaking. "I'm going to buy a car next week." - Prediction (Evidence): You can see it coming. "Look at those clouds! It's going to rain."

- "I think it will rain." (Opinion) - "It is going to rain." (I feel a drop/see clouds)
