13. Used to vs. Would

Both structures describe past habits that don't happen now. But there is a key difference rule.

: Works for EVERYTHING (Actions + States). -

: Works for ACTIONS ONLY. Never use 'would' for states like be, live, have, love.

- Action: "I used to play" OR "I would play." (Both OK) - State: "I used to live here." (OK) - State: "I would live here." (WRONG!)

- Negative: "I didn't use to..." (Drop the 'd')
