37. Third Conditional

Used for PAST REGRETS. Situations that are finished and cannot be changed.

If + PAST PERFECT (Had Done), .... WOULD HAVE + PAST PARTICIPLE (V3).

- "If I had studied, I would have passed." (Reality: I didn't study, and I didn't pass). - "If we had taken a taxi, we wouldn't have been late."

- Think: "Had-Had -> Would-Have."
