36. Second Conditional

Used for UNREAL or IMAGINARY situations in the present/future.

If + PAST SIMPLE, .... WOULD + VERB.

- "If I had a million dollars, I would buy a boat." (I don't have the money). - "If I lived in China, I would learn Mandarin." (I don't live there).

- In formal English, use were instead of was for I/He/She/It. - "If I were you, I would go."
