16. Present Cont. Future

We use the

for future arrangements described in a diary or calendar.

It implies you have booked a time or place, or agreed with another person. It is more than just a plan.

- "I am seeing the doctor at 4pm." (Appointment made). - "We are flying to Paris tomorrow." (Tickets bought). - "What are you doing this weekend?" (Asking about arrangements).

- Do not use 'Will' for arrangements. - Wrong: "I will see the doctor at 4pm."
